First, I can take this quiz on my own. I am going to list the questions and answers so that you have them right. The first question is “do you support the concept of environmental sustainability and value creation?” The second question is “why is that important to you?” I’ll explain both of these questions later in the series.
Second, I can hire someone to help me write and complete this questionnaire for me. I know that this sounds expensive, but it is not. In fact, I pay a lot less than I would for an evening at a local restaurant with a good menu. The company that I work with do all of the writing and they get paid by the hour. They also pay me for every answer that I provide them with on the questionnaire.
Now, I understand that answering these questions will take my general environmental health and wellbeing to the next level. I need to think about the things that I do to affect the environment. Do I drive an environmentally friendly car? What kinds of clothes do I choose to wear that are more eco-friendly? I realize that some of these actions are restricted by laws in my community, but I am trying to do my part. I can imagine that if I took this quiz seriously, my behavior would change and my impact on the environment would go up.
Let’s talk about my behavior. I eat a healthy diet, I recycle, I am active and I bike a lot. When I was younger, I remember going camping in Europe and camping with other American hikers. There were a wonderful peace and beauty around me. Today, the camping trips that I take are longer and more involved. I have to be careful to take the tours that I like, but I also try to make sure that I am making a difference by reducing my carbon footprint as much as possible.
I also realize that my lifestyle decisions contribute to my carbon footprint. This makes it harder for me to take my Eco-Tourism seriously. What do you think? Should I stop going on eco-tours? Can I still take my Eco-Tourism quiz for me to feel like I’m making a difference?
The important thing is that I recognize that my actions create a bigger impact on the environment than just about everything else that I do. I do not buy any nongreen products. I don’t use chain stores. I take my Eco-Tourism very seriously. I take my environmental sustainability and value creation quiz for me to remind myself of how important I am to saving the world for future generations.
This is one area in my life where I know I should be doing a lot more – getting off the road, taking public transit more often, eating healthier and using electric cars. I’ve been given a few in the past year alone, and I’m very encouraged by what I see. I’d encourage you too to take my environmental sustainability and value creation quiz for me, so you can get a real sense of what it means to be responsible.
